    Make a beautifully flattering and perfectly on trend jumpsuit. Choose from Full length, 3/4 length or playsuit length. Plain shoulder strap or cute tie straps!
     
    Put your dressmaking skills to the test with this Two day sewing workshop!  This workshop will focus on pushing your sewing abilities to include adding pockets, darts, straps and a waist tie.

    What will I learn? 
     
    Size selection: There is nothing more important than starting off with the correct size pattern! No two people are exactly the same size and shape which is why so many people struggle with commercial patterns and fit. We will look at how to change a pattern so that it fits YOU. 
     
    Fitting techniques: Choosing the correct size pattern will help alot when it comes to fitting but we will also look at other ways to make sure your dress fits like a glove, including some great fitting techniques and "fitting as you go" 
     
    Perfect darts: Darts can be a great way to create form and shape and are especially important when creating a fitted bodice. You will learn how to create perfectly tapered darts without those dreaded pointy bits! 
     
    As well as other important dressmaking skills such as:
    How to apply interfacing and facings
    how to sew pockets
    Hemming techniques 
    Sewing straps
    Sewing a waist tie
    and much much more!...
     
    What do I need to bring?
     
    2.5m of fabric with a good drape such as viscose, lightweight cotton types such as cotton lawn, linen or lightweight denim (chambray). 3m if you would prefer a full length trouser (if you choose a fabric with a directional print, you may need additional fabric length, please contact me for further info.
     
    a 16 inch invisibe/concealed zip to match the colour of your fabric.

    Tea and coffee will be provided free of charge throughout the class to help the sewing along!
     
    Please note that we will not have time in the class to pattern match in the class so please do not buy fabric with large prints that need matching. If your fabric has a directional print, you may need to buy more fabric. Please email me for further advice at sewwithholly@gmail.com
     
     
    Please ensure you can make the date of the workshop before booking as we are not able to offer refunds once you have booked your space. We may be able to offer you a different date if you cancel with at least 7 days notice of the date of your workshop. This however will be subject to availability. I
