About Holly
Holly is the founder of Sew with Holly, but more than that, she’s the person who shapes how the space feels. She grew up around sewing, learning from her mum and developing a natural instinct for making things by hand. What started as curiosity became a skill, and then something much bigger.
After studying Fashion Design and completing a degree in Fashion with Design for Performance, Holly built a career around sewing, always with people at the centre of it.
What sets Holly apart isn’t just what she knows, it’s how she teaches. She understands that sewing can feel overwhelming at the start, and frustrating when things don’t go to plan. Her approach is calm, practical, and patient, breaking things down in a way that makes sense without ever making people feel behind.
Many people come to Sew with Holly thinking they “can’t sew” or that they’ll get it wrong. Holly quietly proves otherwise. Step by step, she helps people build confidence, trust their own judgement, and actually enjoy the process rather than rushing to the end result.

For Holly, it’s never really been about sewing alone. It’s about giving people the skills and confidence to create something for themselves, and leaving with the feeling that they can do it again.

Carley
Keeps the shop running day to day. Carly is usually the one you’ll meet in the shop, helping customers, answering questions, and keeping everything ticking over.
Connie
A tutor with a background in fashion and costume, holding a BA Costume Design and Making degree and a PGCE in Design and Technology. Connie combines technical knowledge with teaching experience, helping learners build both skill and confidence.

Sew with Holly is supported by a small team of tutors and creatives, each bringing their own experience and approach to teaching and making. Together, the team creates a space that feels welcoming, practical, and genuinely supportive, whether you’re walking in for the first time or have been coming for years.
