Love your overlocker 💗

Overlockers...its a love /hate relationship right? Well, we want to show you that it can be a relationship of pure love!
 
you will learn the basics of how to set up/thread your overlocker, how to problem shoot when it comes to common problems that crop up, such as tension issues and how to get the most out of your overlocker!
 
**you will need to bring your own overlocker to work on in this class ** (we have one overlocker available for use on the day if you don’t yet have one, please message before booking if you would like to use this)
 
This class is suitable for those who haven’t sewn with an overlocker and would like to learn. Or those looking to gain extra confidence and learn more about their machine.
 
What will I learn?
 
- how to set up and thread your overlocker
- how to change threads
- 3 and 4 thread sewing and when it is appropriate to use them
- checking and changing tension
- how to disengage your overlocking blade
- How to gather fabric on your overlocker
- How to create a "lettuce Hem"
- How to create a rolled hem
 
This course is specifically designed to help you gain the confidence to use your overlocker for a number of different projects.
 
What do I need to bring?
- you’re own overlocker and manual if you have it
- thread for your overlocker (any colour)
- note pad and pen
 
Fabric samples to work on in the class will be provided but please feel free to bring any scraps you have to practice on.
 
We we will provide you with everything else you need including course tea, coffee and something sweet!
30 minute lunch break, please bring your packed lunch or money to visit a local shop/cafe. 
 
Please note that bookings are non- refundable so please ensure you are able to make the date of the workshop. If you do need to cancel, as long as we have at least one weeks notice we will endevour to fit you in to a defferent date however this will be subject to availability.
